I was very fortunate to take a three week vacation home to Louisiana for winter break. I left on December 9th and didn't return until the 26th! It was wonderful, but exhausting. I got there on the 11th and on the 12th we had my nieces birthday party. It was so much fun. She turned three this year and it was the first birthday party I have attended. It was so much fun and I enjoyed it all. The night before the party (the day I got in) she and I made cupcakes for the party. Pictures as soon as I remembered where I saved them! Grr!
Then I visited family! I had a great time hanging out with my dad, sister, brother, nieces and nephews, and grandparents.
On the Wednesday after I arrived......I got the dreaded stomach flu!! YUCKY! That put me down a few days and it was not fun.
On the 18th my brother arrived in town and on the 19th we all had Christmas. That night the New Orleans Saints lost their first game of the season.... :-( ...and the next day I left for Dallas. I was busy, busy, busy!
Noel was supposed to arrive on the 21st of December at about 5:30. But wouldn't you know, fate had other plans! His plane was delayed by 6 HOURS!!! After spending an ENTIRE day - literally, in an airport, he arrived in Dallas at 9:40 that night. We hung out in Dallas for two more dats then headed back to Louisiana.
We celebrated Christmas with my aunts family on Christmas Eve Night and then with my family on Christmas Day Morning. We headed back to Florida that very night around 10:30!!
Great trip but VERY exhausting! I can't wait to do it all again soon though! PICTURES COMING SOON!
