Family Reunion and Fun

On June 15th I made an impromptu trip home to Louisiana to see family and friends.  It was much needed as this last semester at school has been crazy and hectic!  Thought I would share a little of what I did while I was home.

On Friday during the day, I took my niece and nephew over to my Auntie Carols house to swim with our little cousins.  The really enjoyed swimming with Anna Clair, Eli and Emma, and Mady loved playing with Molly.

On Friday night, my family from Dallas came in town and my dad had a crawfish boil for all of us!  It was so good and we had such a GREAT time!!  I loved it!

Then the next day we all went to Kiroli Park and had a grand time.  Uncle Bruce, Shannon, and Brandon grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone and the kids had a blast playing outside.  It was SUPER DUPER hot and almost unbearable but we had good fans and pavilion with nice shade too.

I finally came home on the 21st of June and I was glad to be home.  I had one more class to finish for the summer and I went on the 22nd.  My summer officially began then and I am glad its finally here!

Have you done any layouts lately?

I have!  I have been scrapping like no ones business!  Here are a few I have done.

eReaders, Kindles, & Nooks oh my!!

So we did it!  We got an eBook.  I am in love!  After much research between the three we went with the eReader.  There were many reasons why though.

1. Kindles & Nooks have proprietary downloads. Meaning you can only get their ebooks from Amazon or Barns & Noble.  With the eReader you have Sony's store, Google Books, and MANY other sites too.

2. Cost!  It was $199.99 for a touch screen one.  Granted this doesn't have WiFi, but thats okay with us.  Our theory was we would know in advance if we were taking a trip or not and just pre-download books.  Also we have a mini laptop with internet so if all else, we could log on there and download.  It saved us a TON of money since the one with WiFi is $349.99!

3. Size.  It is small yet not too small and it has the capability to enlarge your text so you can see it if necessary.  It isn't too heavy either.

4. Some other perks were expandable memory slots, long battery life, and ease of downloading.  It is pretty much self explanatory.

One of the best perks is that you can download books from your library!!!  For Free!!!

Go get yourself an eBook, you won't regret it.  Happy Reading!!
