Nothing is more beautiful than a....

garden at sunset.

Hi readers! Sorry to overwhelm you with FANTASTIC stuff tonight, but I have one more GREAT kit to share with you! This kit by Monica Evan is called Sunset Garden. It is so full of bright and crisp colors, yet it is so soft! I can't get enough of it.

Here is the layout I did with it.

You can get the kit at Scrap Matters.

Here are some views of it to tease you and get your mouth watering! Click the image to go to the store to buy it though!

It's not always about looking at the flowers during the sun-
light hours. Sometimes they are even more beautiful as
the sun is going down. This kit is inspired by those night
time viewings.

This kit includes:
  • 10 papers, all 12"x12" at 300 dpi
  • 2 Full Sheet Chipboard Alphas
  • 5 paper flowers
  • 2 folded flowers
  • 2 buttons
  • 1 ribbon border
  • 1 folded ribbon
  • 1 straight ribbon
  • 2 paper frames
  • 2 folded flower frames
  • 1 folded journal strip
  • 1 notebook paper journal
  • 2 overlays
  • 2 ribbon flowers
  • 3 flower stickers
  • 1 flower corner
  • 3 stitched buttons
  • 2 ribbon ties

Summer days on the "Back Porch ".

Thats right! You get to see TWO fabulous kits from TWO fabulous designers in ONE blog!! What a deal! :-) Okay, now that I got you here, let me tell what I got for ya!

The first kit is from Isabel Mendez with Crisdam Designs. The name of it is so perfectly titled "Back Porch". It reminds me of sweet summer days, sitting on my grandparents front porch drinking lemonade or sweet tea. It has a fabulous vintage feel with classic and gorgeous colors.

This is my layout created with it!

You can get the papers only, elements only, or you can buy the whole shebang and create glorious digital pages. Click each photo to go the store. Click here to get to the main page for Crisdam Designs at A Cherry On Top.

DADDY Book

Have you ever been to Scrap Orchard? They have a FANTASTIC site! I love that place. And the big hunt and freebies didn't hurt either...lol Well they recently had a contest called "So You Think You Can Scrap" and some GREAT designers came out of the woodworks.

I found on their site this fabulous freebie template and I am in love. In pieces it looks like nothing, but when put together, it becomes a chipboard album that spells DADDY. The template was created by Mimi with Mimi's Digi-Designs and the papers and elements I used are from the collaboration kit offered by Scrap Orchard and Sunshine Studio Scraps.

Word Art Freebie!!

I was over at Suzee Q's Blog and noticed she had a quote on there she really liked a lot. She suggested that someone should make a word art with it and I found that it went with my Americana kit very well so I did! Here is one more freebie for you!

Just click here for the download link! (.psd format)

It's here finally!!! My latest kit and freebie!!!

I have had a heck of a week, especially Tuesday! My computer has been acting really silly lately and heating up badly, so I decided I was going to take apart my laptop and clean the inside and the fans and such. I got everything all unscrewed and tried lifting the back off and realized there was another screw somewhat hidden (Have you ever tried to take apart a laptop? Don't its a complete headache!!). So, I got the screwdriver and proceeded to unscrew it only to realize that I wasn't actually unscrewing it. It had a security screw in it!! Needless to say I drove all over my town that day looking for a screwdriver to undo it with and apparently they don't sell them much in the stores! I was LIVID! I finally found what I think is going to work and get it home only to then realize its too big and the store I purchased it from didn't have any that were smaller. So, I pried it apart as best as I could and cleaned with canned air. My computer has worked like a charm ever since!

So, in light of all of my troubles I decided to create a new kit. I have gotten really interested in digital design lately and am trying new things. I decided to create a kit for independence day. I have titled it Americana (how fitting huh?...lol) Anyway, below is the previews and the links.

With the kit you will get 46 elements and 13 papers. The elements include stars, safety pin and paper clip, staples, tags, vintage US memorabilia, US monuments, vintage war leaflets and documents and lots more! The papers are very cute. You will get one with the Star Spangled Banner, Dec. of . Independence, and The Constitution overlayed onto them.

I hope you enjoy the kit as much as I do. Please leave me links to your layouts so I can see them! I would love to post them on my blog too. Don't forget to leave me some love!!

Make-A-Wish Kits.......

I have found the best kit ever! I am a volunteer for Make-A-Wish foundation and I just came across a kit that is donating proceeds to MAW! I have never been more excited for a kit!

The kits are found on Benevolent Boutique!! The kits are called "Jack" & "Jill". Below is the description on their website:

"Benevolent Boutique has it's first 2 releases! Jack and Jill are coordinating kits designed for a wonderful charity The Make-A-Wish Foundation. To learn more about these gorgeous kits and this super cause click the previews above. And now for your freebie, a safety pin potty training charm. June is National Potty Training Awareness month so it seemed appropriate at the time (I feel kindly silly about it now though LOL). Click the image to download, password is wish."

Being a MAW volunteer this is one of the greatest ways to get involved! I did my first Wish Granting event last weekend and it was fantastic! It was the most rewarding and heart warming experience one could ever be a part of!
